Frequently Asked Questions

How long do classes last?
Our classes are 4 day long sessions Monday through Thursday. Morning classes are 3 hours in length and afternoon classes consist of two 1 1/2 hour classes for a total of 3 hours.

What time is pick up and drop off?
Drop off for AM classes is 8:45-9:00am. Pick up for AM classes is Noon-12:15.
Drop off for PM classes is 12:20-12:30. Pick up for PM classes is 3:30-3:45. 

Where should I park? Where is the classroom?
Beginning with summer 2022 classes all parents should park outside the gate along the fence. A picture of the parking area will be emailed before the start of classes. Students will enter through the side of the building at the large roll up door. The classrooms are directly inside to the left.

My child is staying all day, what about lunch?
Students who are here for both AM and PM classes will need to bring a lunch from home. We also encourage a water bottle (or 2) for all students.

Is there supervision during lunch?
Yes, all students are supervised at all times.

Do you charge an enrollment fee?
We do not charge an enrollment or sign up fee for our classes.

Do you offer refunds?
Refunds are issued if a request is received through email at least 15 days before the start of the class which a student is signed up for. There will be a $10 service charge for all refunds which is deducted from the refund amount.

What if I want to change my sign up to another week?
Changes to sign ups can be accommodated if there is space in another weekly session.

How are students grouped? Will younger students be with much older students?
We always try to group our students by age. Sometimes, however, we have a large difference in the ages of students in a particular class. When this occurs, we ensure we have extra hands to assist, especially with our youngest participants.

Can I reach someone by phone in case of an emergency?
Our business phone is monitored Monday-Thursday 8:30 am to 4:00pm during our summer sessions. You can call anytime during those hours if you need to reach STEAMworks staff. Outside of these hours the best way to contact us is through email. In the event your child becomes ill, is injured, or there is a behavioral issue, we will contact you immediately using the numbers listed in the registration form.

Can my child bring their cell phone?
Students are allowed to bring their cell phones to camp. They will be instructed to keep them out of sight during instructional times. Please be aware STEAMworks is not liable for any damage or loss to personal property including cell phones.

Do you offer any discounts?
Various discounts may be available throughout the sign up period. Early Bird discounts are typically offered when sign ups begin in April. Follow us on Facebook and Instagram for discount codes.
